Hey all Guitar Hero fans, such as I, who have been curious to see some of the new stuff in the upcoming sequel to the Guitar Hero games, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.Well after about 2 minutes of backbreaking research I have found some new features and the majority of the Official Track List for GH3.Track List:(49 of an expected 70 song list)(Click Spoiler To View List. To save room and for people who want to be surprised). Click to expand.I can't really see a Linkin' Park song in here. I used to like them too, just doesn't seem like Guiar Hero to me.
Of course neither does Rage Against the MachineThe more I go over this list the more I want to play it lol. It's driving me nuts.
I've been trying to play the previous GH games but they just get so boring after playing each song a thousand times. The one song I could never do for some reason is the last song (Extreme Difficulty) on Guitar Hero: Rock the 80's. The song 'Play With Me' - Extreme is INSANE. The star power is hard to get while theres a huge ass solo near 3/4 way that you can't really star power yourself through. Besides that I can do pretty much every song and get a decent score.
I'm a GH fanatic. Rocks the 80's was easy. Play With Me was only slightly harder than Free Bird. Hangar 18 was harder. Also I believe that Stairway probably won't be on Guitar Hero, for a couple of reasons:1) Too Monotonous.
For about 5-6 mins of it it just repeats the same parts over again.2) Even if it was, it wouldn't be that difficult. The solo is not spectacularly hard.I know there have been songs on before that are like it (i.e very short solo, fairly dull to play) but none have been 8 mins long.I think the release is scheduled for around about the end of October in the UK.Additionally, Guitar Hero 3 does have a fair variety of modern stuff and old stuff.
Many of those songs are from recent bands, and Q.O.T.S.A's 3's and 7's and Velvet Revolver's She Builds Quick Machines are from the latest albums. I also believe that 'Get Out the Door' from Velvet Revolver is also going to be on it.But perhaps one reason is that modern mainstream metal has a tendancy to be, well, crap, if you are looking at bands like Trivium. There is plenty of decent stuff, don't get me wrong, but there is some stuff that has no place in Guitar Hero. The only Guitar Hero song I've never been able to beat was Jordan. But then, only people with too much spare time will have been able to practice that to the point where they can master it (i.e. 5 stars).I'm ain't too happy with some of the songs on the new tracklist though - AFI's song being one of them. I'll just have to mute the telly when I play itThe full (unconfirmed) tracklist can be found.Notice that the Bonus Tracks contain none of the crap from the last 2 games - that it to say, you may have heard of quite a few of them, and practically none of them (I think) have any relation whatsoever with the developer. Remember the last two games? Nearly 50% of the bands who performed had members who were working on the game.
